The history of radiation curing technology and products for release coating is well
known to all of you. Therefore, today we will concentrate on new ideas and first
results coming from the laboratories of the Th. Goldschmidt Company, who stands
as a pioneer for the chemistry of UV and EB curable silicone acrylates.
The main intention of this presentation is to offer new ideas about new possibilities
and applications, which you may be able to set into practice with modified
silicone acrylates.

Besides the progress in developing and improving the existing range of TEGO®
RC Products, we also started screening activities for physical modifications of
standard products in order to achieve special properties with the well-known release
coatings. Because radical silicone acrylates are not sensitive to substrates
and additional ingredients (in contrast to thermal curing silicones and the cationic
UV silicone epoxies), it is possible to blend and mix the TEGO® RC Products with
special agents for purposes of:

- Matting
- Coloration
- Electrostatics

We have looked into these topics with preliminary experiments and trials. We are
still adding to our knowledge base for this technology. We are prepared to elaborate
tailor-made solutions in a close partnership with suppliers of raw materials,
technical equipment, and our customers.
