EB Working Group

On the request of some RTE members involved in the EB technology some desk research has been done regarding an EB Work Group and on the 30th of January 2008 the kick-off of the new RTE Electron Beam project group took place inFrankfurt. On this page you will find more information about this technology and the increasing implementation throughout the European industry.

Electron Beam Technology for Converting Applications
Electron beam (EB) technology has been used in converting applications for more than 30 years. The use of EB is driven by a number of factors including: product performance, product consistency, high throughput, energy savings, and the absence of solvent. The nature of EB technology can also enable unique converting applications that are not possible by other means.

A new generation of lower cost, more compact EB equipment has been recently introduced. To read more about this new EB equipment, click here (under construction, link to follow).
