RadTech Europe welcomes new President David Helsby

During the RTE General Assembly 2010 in Hamburg, Germany, the Management Committee welcomed their new President David Helsby.

‘We have all experienced a difficult year in 2009 but our Conference was a success and its content showed that the use of Radiation Curing Technology is still growing in volume and surprisingly in some new and innovative fields.’

Mr Helsby, 56, Technical Director at Rahn AG, takes over the presidential reins from Dawn Skinner to steer RadTech Europe for the next two years.

He joined the RTE Management Committee in 2008 and has been an active member as well as being the main contact for the content management of the RTE Conference & Exhibition. He has worked technically in the Radiation Curing Industry for over 30 years, living and working in five countries in Europe, the USA and has spent time in Japan.

He said: ‘In my Presidency I hope to re-engage our members in their participation of our Association and to make mutually beneficial bonds with our fellow RadTech organizations around the world.’

Away from work, Mr Helsby likes to play the Guitar, practice Aikido and ride his motorbike.
